The foundation of most massage therapy techniques iscalled Swedish Massage. Swedish massage provides a sense of relaxation through flowing movements whichprimarily address blood and lymph circulation and leave the client with anoverall sense of well-being. (Florida School of Massage, 2023)
~Connective Tissue Therapy (CTT) allows chronically contractedmuscles to return to their more natural, relaxed state by addressing thefascial component of the tissue by lengthening the shortened fascial fibersduring the slow-paced, tissue-guided experience. Clients who experience CTT will generally enjoy a greater range of motion and comfort in their postures.(2023)
~Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT),also known as Trigger Point Therapy, stimulates neurological reflexes associated to pain patterns and chronic muscle contraction. Through breath, intention, and patience pain is reduced and body awareness is increased asthese chronically contracted muscles are relaxed during the massage technique where static pressure is applied to specific points (knots) on the bellies ofthe muscles. (2023)
~Sports Massage is designed for athletes where the physical applications integrate Swedish Massage, NMT, stretching, and other sports techniques.
(2023)
~Hydrotherapy involves therapeutic tools where cold and hot applications including icepacks, hot towels, heating pads, and other applicable devices are applied to the body to address circulation and inflammation. (2023)
~Polarity Therapy is a unique fusion of concepts based on Ayurvedic, Chinese, Chiropractic, and Osteopathic medicine. The client’s awareness of life energy manifestations on the physical, mental, and emotional levels are enhanced through intentional therapeutic hand placement by the massage therapist to utilize the power of theclient’s attention.
